Green infrastructure and open environments: The all London green grid. Supplementary planning guidance, published by the Mayor of London in March 2012, suggests that the London Cycle Network (Cycle Super Highways): ‘…is intended to make London a city for cyclists. It is an established network of radial and orbital routes for cyclists covering the whole of London. It has been planned as a socially inclusive cycling environment where high quality standards are maintained providing routes that are continuous, fast, safe, comfortable and easy to use. The network includes clear guidance on surface treatment and road markings where there is potential conflict between cyclists and other road users.’
